Former Apprentice contest Omarosa Manigault is officially hired. She is joining Donald Trump’s White House staff as director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison.
Previously, the 42-year-old Ohio native served as director of African-American outreach in the Trump presidential campaign. Trump and Manigault have a long history that started when the first season of the reality game show The Apprentice premiered.
Manigault was fired, but she remained friends with Trump. In 2008, she was invited back in the boardroom, this time for The Celebrity Apprentice.
The two teamed up again to work on a dating show called The Ultimate Merger in 2010. Three years later, Manigault made a comeback for the Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars.
This isn’t the first time Manigault has had a White House job: She worked for Vice President Al Gore during the Clinton administration.
