She announced she was joining the cast of Eastenders last week.
And Lisa Faulkner – who also doubles up as a TV chef – couldn’t help but gush about her upcoming role of Fi Browning on the long-running BBC soap this Spring as she made a very stylish appearance on ITV’s Lorraine on Thursday.
‘I started filming a couple of days ago and it’s a bit of baptism,’ the multi-talented star, 45, explained to Christine Lampard about her new acting venture, which sees her taking on the part of a ‘no-nonsense businesswomen.’
‘Everyone’s really lovely and it came completely out of the blue,’ Lisa, who was dressed in a figure-flattering swirly patterned dress, continued.
‘I was expecting to do my recipes and then the producers called me up to meet them and he sold this character to me.
‘They said let’s just see what happens and I thought, “why not? Jump in. What’s the worst that can happen?,”‘ she contemplated.
Expressing her excitement at the new role, Lisa stated: ‘She’s a great character, I’m looking forward to playing her.’
