Scarlett Moffatt speaks out over her family’s exit from Gogglebox

Following her success on the Channel 4 show, Scarlett went on to appear and later win the last series of I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

However, it was reported that Scarlett was considered to be ‘too famous’ for the show and therefore her parents Betty and Mark would not be appearing on the show.

A spokesperson later confirmed to The Sun: “The Moffatt family will not be appearing in this series.”

Taking to her Instagram page, Scarlett, who will be seen making her presenting debut on Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway  this weekend, posted a picture of herself with her family on the red carpet at the NTAs with the caption: “We are going to miss doing #gogglebox so so much.”

Insisting that there are no hard feelings towards the show, the star added that her family would still be tuning in.

“But can’t wait to watch the new series (good luck my fellow goggleboxers you will smash it love the Moffatts).”

Fans were quick to respond to the news with many declaring that the TV show wouldn’t be the same without the family.

“Won’t be the same without our local family. I don’t understand why your Mam, Dad and sister still can’t do it x,” stated one fan.

While another added: “Won’t be the same.”

“The show will never be the same. I’m gonna miss you,” echoed a third Instagram user.
